Unfair Termination of Employee Burlington North Carolina

I had a family member who was employed with Digital Memorys working with Santa for the 2007 Christmas Season at Burlington Square Mall. (Taking pictures, selling packages, etc.) They needed help, so I offered to help her out and work. JIM, the head manager knew we were related and had no issues with it. I went to Crabtree Valley Mall (in Raleigh, an hour away) once a week to help there as well. Not ONCE did I have a complaint, issue, etc. (If I did, it was NEVER addressed.) In about the first week of December, KAREN, the regional manager, came and took the family members keys and told her that JIM would call her with her schedule.

I was scheduled to work the next day, and not knowing what was going on with my family member, I called Karen and left a voicemail. She did not return that call or the 2 voicemails I had left after that.

About the end of the 2nd week in December, I finally got in touch with Jim to find out the status of my job, as no one had contacted me. He at first acted as if he didn't know that I was no longer working for him. He told me that he wuld look into it and call me back the next day. A fe days passed, and I called him again. He told me that I as "Guilty by Association" due to some unsatisfactory performance by my family member.

I would caution ALL parents about using Digital Memorys as his work ethic is non existant.

Not once would he give me a reason for termination.
