Reading Jen's (Winona Lake, Illinois) report has been like finding a mirror for my own situation.

How can a company which deals in Wedding and Bridesmaids' dresses allow them to be so disorganised and disgustingly rude to their customers?

I placed my order for 4 bridesmaids' dresses 3 months ago - plenty of time for them to be delivered.

I received te confirmation email and so sat tight and waited. I didn't receive any more info so last week I got round to emailing for an eta. The money had gone from my account so I assumed theings were coming along.

The response I got was impersonal with no name and the sign off was blunt and rude. I've pasted it below:

Hi *,

Our order department has emailed you to this email address multiple times asking you to confirm your dress colors. Anytime color combinations differ we ask the customer to confirm the color choice. We have not placed your order with Dessy. To proceed with your order we will need authorization to charge your credit card for a rush. This is the only way we can ship your order to you in time for your wedding date. Dessy's rush fee is $45 per dress.

Please respond.

So I emailed them back saying I hadn't received any emails, including in my junk mail folders and could they give me details of these emails they had sent.

I said I was not prepared to pay the rush fee as it was not my mistake and pointed out that they did have my phone no if they had needed to contact me. The reply I got did not answer any of these questions and made me really angry: see below:

We will forward your order to our accounting department for a refund.

Thank you.

That was it! Just one line. I DID NOT ask for a refund, I do not want a refund I want my dresses which I now will probably not be able to have for my wedding which is so distressing - I had ORGANISED everything so far in advance and they have still managed to cause me major heartache.

So, I've emailed them again with the following email. I'm not sure they'll even get back to me. I'll post again if they do.

Firstly, you have not addressed any of the questions in my email. You state that you contacted me through email, once again I have received no such emails other than the order confirmation (below). Please provide details of these emails which you claim you have sent to me. I have at no point stated that I wish for a refund. Do not issue a refund to me. I wish to receive the dresses I have ordered under the terms of the contact which we entered into at the time I placed my initial order, which your company accepted. I do not expect to pay any additional charges, as I have complied with all requests of the company which I have received. I have not received any emails, or telephone calls, other than the emails attached below. Please provide me with the name and telephone number of someone within your company whom I can call to resolve this issue. I would like to make this call today, therefore please provide me with this information today so I can call you. If I do not receive this information, I will expect a call from you today. My mobile number (as previously provided) is 0*7. I look forward to speaking with you. Kind regards.

Lets just see what they do. Nothing I bet.
It is disgusting to treat customers like this.
