Unethical and dishonest communications; Unfounded charges. Because of a need to expedite the wedding gown and bridesmaids order for my daughter's wedding, I was referred to Elaine. She concluded that for a $300 "rush charge" I could get my daughter's wedding gown in time for her wedding.

A few days later, I called to check on the availability of the bridesmaids' dresses as well. Without identifying myself, I asked for a delivery date for bridesmaids' dresses. Elaine was most arrogant and said that bridesmaids' dresses could not be available when we needed them. As I had already placed the order, I told her who I was and her demeanor changed. She assured me that she was taking care everything and all would be in on time.

A couple of weeks later, I received a deposit receipt on one of the bridesmaids which indicated the wrong wedding date and the wrong number of bridesmaids. When I contacted Elaine about this, she declared that there was no way the dresses could be in on time. She rudely insisted that I had never talked to her about this, and I adamantly reminded her of her previous assurance. She again said that she didn't think the dresses could arrive on time and IF they could, there would be a $30 "rush charge" on each dress. Because of my previous contact with her, I would not hear of a "rush charge." I contacted another store that said that the same order could be made within the upcoming week and a $15 rush fee would be added. I then contacted Lee with the wedding dress manufacturer about a rush charge on that dress. He said he could easily get the dress out on time and the rush charge was up to the individual store.

When presented with this information, Elaine continued her barrage of lies (and accusations of my lying) saying Lee never said that and even went so far as to say that the other store I contacted could not get the order in time because no one can get an order faster than she can. My 1st regret is stepping foot into Pearl's; my 2nd is not recording Elaine's conversations. My advice for a lovely wedding - do not go to Pearl's Place. Elaine is a nightmare!
