Completely scamming people with twisted lies

A representative of Jcom Skymedia contacted my employee by phone. The gentleman asked her if we would like to update our records. She was under the impression at the time that she was confirming information for the Yellow Pages. I received an invoice from Jcom Skymedia $409.90 and also a book from Jcom Skymedia call 'American Business Resources', which didn't even have my company listed on there.

The invoice specifically reads Includes Company Listing, " which as I have noted is in fact false. The invoice also states that the guide cannot be returned without authorization, and that it must be shipped in its original packaging (which was simply a box with the guide and nothing else). We no longer have the packaging.

I immediately gave them a call to tell them of their mistake and they were very rude, loud spoken almost yelling insisting that we purchased this book. They stated that my employee authorized the purchase of a business to business directory. They advised that they have the conversation on tape, but were not allowed to send it to me.

My employee was put in touch with a supervisor" forquality control, " and had a conversation verifying the previous conversation that she had with the representative, this taped conversation is what this company claims is proof of confirmation. We believe the tape was tampered with.

I stated that I was the only person authorized to make advertising decisions and that no such authorization was granted. I then asked for the representatives name and operator # and she simply stated that her name was June and that she didn't have an operator # because she was not an operator.

When I asked for her employee # she stated that she didn't believe that it was pertinent to the conversation. When I asked her for her supervisors name she told me it was Kim and stated that her last name would be on her voice mail. She immediately transfered me and there was no last name on the voice mail for Kim. I left her a message stating that we were unable to get all of the information from them that we needed and that we would be contacting someone about them scamming us.
