Hated to love the job had to follow corporate policy wich was opposite from DM policy either one could get you fired

I so agree with all the complaints seeing it from the inside out yes they tell you it is not about photography it is about sales yes they tell you to do the first one crappy because people will only buy it if it is good
i can only vouch for one person other than my self that took the rugs home and washed them

Yes they send you coupons that you are not allowed to use (discount averages are bad so employees are told to play stupid) yes they tell you that you won something when you didn't yes they do drawings for prizes that are never awarded

Yes they will make sure you cannont take or be paid for vacation time that you are owed corporate policy is 100% satisfaction corporate says if you want to come in for a diffrent $5 special every day you can and you can choose wich one you want!

No customer has ever been told that there is a certain amount of money each day the photograpers are expected to make averages are job security in a small place where you might only shoot 3 or 4 groups a day goal is $500 no body is leaving with only the 5 dollar special and you wonder why every time you turn a corner in walmart some one is trying to aquisition you into getting pictures made

Commission on composites is not paid people in the walmart can sexually harrass you for years and that is ok but if you tell them to stop you get susspended
photographers have to pay out of pocket for pens tape staples decorations signs drawings and props and are threatened to be put in jail for removing any prop that they paid for from the store we are not allowed to take pictures of our own families but that only applies to some associates

Get this my self and this other girl ran a store
i like her she is nice i only have 1 certain day when i can have my families picture made a month in advance i tell the girl i need 8 poses we discuss them everything is cool the day i come in she starts by telling me i can only have 7 poses

The dm knows i plan on spending my whole check on those pictures so they dont send me a check that week and we have to pay everything up front two weeks later the girl that had to take my pictures because im not allowed to take ones of my faqmily takes her family photos with 8 poses

She got a $200 package minus 40% knocks that down to $120 and then gives herself a $100 certificate when her pic come in she reprinted herself a stack of free extras on top of all that

I say i thought we couldnt take our own kins photos she goes" yes we can corprate approved it this is what you do"

Closer to christmas my husband surprises me with one of our children says my christmas present is pictures of our kids i call her up she says take the pictures and put them in her name after closing time so i did any one can have a smiles club card i did not even use employee discount my husband bought $60 packages took of 10% got a free 8x10 and an extra set of cards

Time for audits i get suspended the other girl is still there the stupid thing is before i came to that store they were going to shut it down breaks my heart i know i will never EVER love a job as much as i loved working for PCA

If they new how the star DM was running things they would certainly make changes strangers came up and warned me about the DM but i still got shark bit
