Sent Bill To Collection 4 NO REASON! Fired them for incompetence! Credit Card on File. Sent to Collection! Global Assholes!

I fired DHL for incompetence! Had an account in good standing with on-line billing and a valid credit card on file. I disputed two charges (under $14) as one should have been free (per a coupon you can't use with on-line billing, apparently) and the other because they screwed up and took days to send something across town.

They NEVER responded to my requests for credit, so I told them to collect whatever they thought they had coming, and close my account.

A few months later I got a letter from a collection agency for the less than $14!

Remember, I have on-line billing, a valid credit card on file, and they never responded to the request for credit.

I have NEVER refused to pay— in fact I told them to bill it if they thought they were entitled to it. There was simply NO REASON to send it for collection.

I have informed the collection agency that DHL could have billed my credit card at any time, or they can do so— they just need to figure out how they want to do this. I also informed them that I will hold them liable for any damage to my credit resulting from this mess.
