Planet Nissan
Finance Guy Chad Monarch - Lee Powers Deceptive, Misrepresentation, Crooked, Underhanded and I could go on!

Cars & Transport

I received a letter in the mail from Planet Nissan inviting me to come and trade in my used vehicle. The letter stated that I could keep my payments the same as they were on my vehicle. The letter also stated that I would get a $1.500. Cash rebate if I purchase a 2008 vehicle.

I called the number on the letter and spoke with a young girl name Stephanie. She said if I give her my information she could run my credit and give me a more clear picture of what I was looking at.

I had a trade in of a 2000 Infiniti that was in excellent condition, however, it had 93,000 miles and need new brakes, rotors and a new timing chain when it reached 100,000. She called my back and said, "NO Problem, we could get in with no money down but we would have to see what your trade in looks like." She also told me that they had incentives that I would be able to get like a 1,000. Gas card and a digital camera. All I would need to do is tell the person in finance and the items are mine.

I went to Planet Nissan and was greeted by a salesman named, "Danny". It was Danny's first day at Planet Nissian. He was a very nice man.

He took me to meet Stephanie and she told him what I was looking for and he took me to the lobby and we started to fill out an interview sheet that asked questions about what kind of car I had and it's features.

We walked and found a car. That is when Lee Powers drove up on a cart. Danny told him that I wanted to test drive this car and Lee offered to go get the key. Lee came back with the key. He told Danny to open the hood and trunk and let me look around. Lee then pulled Danny aside and told him he needed to hurry up and close this deal. Danny was a little shock by that comment being it was his first day and all.

I expressed to Danny that I was interested in the Sentra that was on the show room floor. We walked back to the showroom. Danny asked me what are the terms I was asking for. I told him Stephanie ran my credit and told me that I can get in with no money down and keep my car payments at the amount they were already $349. I only owed 2,300 on my Infiniti and it was valued at 5,000 because of the condition it was in.

He comes back to the table and says the sales manager says I would need to come up with 2,400 in cash and they will give me 3,000 for my trade in and my interest rate would be 6.9%. I told him his sales manager has lost his mind. That is when Lee Powers walked over and sat down. They kept me there for 4 hours.

I told them you give me 4,500 for my car, 1,500. Rebate, 150. Gas card and digital camera and 3.9 % interest rate because that is what you guys are advertising as an incentives and Stephanie said I could have them all, and
pay for my registration and keep my payment as it is or just a little over.

Lee told me I couldn't have the gas card because it was only on certain cars. I showed him the advertisment that said on all new purchases and he said that it was a mistake. He said I would have to talk to finance about the camera. He said that I would only get a 1,000. Rebate that the 1,500 was on certain cars and I got the 3.9% and so far they are suppose to pay for my registration.

I finally got to see the finance man Chad Monarch.By this time it was 10:00 pm at night and I was hungry and thirsty and tired. He tried to sell me a maintanence package and I declined it. He would not take "NO" as an answer. He kept and I finally said I will walk if he said another word about it. I told him I wasn't feeling well and I just want to go. My blood sugar had dropped from not eating for 6 hours I couldn't concentrate.

The next day when I felt better I went over my paper work. Chad had put charges on my finance that I didn't even know what they were
$300 dollars worth. I got off work and went back to finance.

I went in Chads office. I wanted to know why on my paper work was there were two different prices they had listed for my car. Something did look right.
I asked him what were these charges. He started to do a song and dance. He said we have you three years of oil changes. I told him I didn't approve of any oil changes. I told him when I left last night the girl who was going over the features of my car with gave me a card good for on free oil change. I told him I did not authorize it. He kept saying we gave it to you. I demanded to know who "They" is. Who gave "They" the right to add that on without my knowlege.

I opened up his office door and asked two people that were standing outside his office if I could see a mananger. Nobody came. He did not give me my tax credit that was entitled to from my Infiniti it was in the amount of $300. I asked him to show me the paper work he had on me and show me where I authorized this charge. Where my tax credit went. He refused to show me anything but he didn't finally print out a form about the oil changes but instead of 3 years he gave me 2 years. These are very deceitful people. Beware!!!
