Ripoff Dog Lost by Groome

I wish to have all families who have a dog as part of theirs read this. My 2 yrs old Chow dog "Emily" was taken to the groomer on 9-29-06. I physically cannot groom her like she needs due to having spinal surgery. The groomer called me to let me know my Emily had "escaped" from her care that afternoon.

My dog was missing for 31 days until I finally was able to retrieve her from the wooded area near the groomer. If I had not kept with it I never would have seen her again.

My family and friends helped for 31 days to help get her back. Some days this was a 18-24 hour ordeal. We had a live dog trap set and by law you must check it every 2-3 hours.

The groomer did not do anything substantial to try to get her back. For that I am severely angry. Had she assisted us on a daily basis in some manner I would not feel such anxiety over this.

Thankfully Emily just lost 10 pounds and needed antibiotics for exposure to Lyme disease. Her "manners" are not what they were before. She is terribly weary of strangers and doesn't want to walk nice on the leash, but we will continue to work with her to hopefully get our nice girl back.
