I lost my cell phone and was unable to afford a replacement phone, so I SUSPENDED my service until I could afford a new phone.

This is where it all starts:

I called CRICKET COMMUNICATIONS and follwed protocol by letting them know my dilemma. The representative told me that I could "suspend" my account for up to three months (90 days). Not much of a problem there, UNTIL I tried to re-establish my account. I was informed that I could keep my old number until the end of the suspension period, but after that, there was no guarantee of me keeping my old number.

I called on Aug. 7th 2006. That is when I was lead to believe the suspension period began. Check my math, but isn't 90 days up around Nov. 7th?

I tried to update my account and get my number back only to find that my account was CLOSED for non-payment!!! YET - the phone number was still attached to my name! I was told that NO CHARGES will be accrued during this "suspension". Even though my name was still linked to that number, they STILL could not guarantee my old number back. HOW IS THIS SO??? That is not the main issue why I am writing this usacomplaints.com, but I have just set up the scenario.

I paid $55. Oo to them on Sept. 11th IN GOOD FAITH to restore my account and resume business as usual. Of course, they GLADLY accepted the check, cashed it, and I supposedly had a "credit" of $54.55. Where is the other $. 45??

Thinking I would have better luck approaching the situation in person rather than getting mixed messages over the phone by several different reps. (who could not give me the same story twice) I was frustrated with the answers I was getting from the phone reps and decided to just get my money back and go to another company for wireless service.

The service rep behind the desk informed me of my "credit" of $54.55, and it could be applied to new service. I told him NO Thank You, I was LIED to and I don't do business with LIARS. Just give me my money — and ALL $55 of it!

A manager was called to the desk (along with a security officer)
The manager informed me that I actually had NO CREDIT and no refund would take place. Same old story, one hand not knowing what the other is doing. The manager claimed that I actually owed for past due debt. HMMMM? My fiancee was with me and offered to transfer the credit to his existing account in order to get this cleared. SO, I had this credit as long as I was going to have an account, BUT if I wanted my money back, there was a bal. Due??? Is this INSANE or is it just me???
