A charge of $15.88 and $19.80 appeared on my at&t phone bills for May and June. The phone company gave me two numbers to call to ask for removal of the charges. The $15.88 gave USBI's telephone number as 1-888-# and the charge of $19.80 gave ILD Teleservices's phone number as 1-800-#
When I called USBI they were located in an Eastern Time Zone and I am in a Central Standard Time Zone and were closed when I called so I must call later. I called ILD Teleservices and was told that charges will be removed in 30 to 90 days or1-3 billing periods.
The AT&T operator said these charges are picked up somehow on the Internet through responding to free advertisements. This should be illegal and they should be severely reprimanded. There are probably plenty of people who do not check their phone bills as carefully as they should who are paying millions of dollars a month to these phoney companies. These companies should not be allowed to rip people off in this way.
