Bill Spade Heating & Cooling Bad Business

In June 1999 I was referred to Bill Spade Heating, Cooling & Electric through my home warranty company to repair my air conditioning unit. I wasn't confident then that this was going to be a very professional company, but after a few phone calls they came out and serviced my unit. A couple of weeks ago I went to turn on the air conditioning and it didn't work. Being a new home owner I don't know who to call now that my warranty has expired, so I called Bill Spade again. I got the run around for a few days just to set an appointment, because everything has to go directly through Bill Spade himself. Then they came out to look at the unit once again. The serviceman told us it had a leak, which was what was wrong with it last year, but it is in a different location. The serviceman was not knowledgable on any of the general questions we asked about the cost, how long before they could order the part, or when they could come back to fix the unit. I was charged $95.00 for this call that didn't give me any answers except that my unit is broke. This is a very costly repair, and I feel it was something that was probably overlooked last year when it was under warranty. I asked Bill Spade if that $95 would be applied to the cost of the repair, but he declined saying we got what we paid for, which was a verification that the unit was broke.in my opinion his company is unprofessional, his workers are uninformative, his
business dealings are unfair, and his work is bad. Since I have
started spreading the work on my unhappy experience, I have heard many more complaints on his business that I wish I knew before I ever called them back.
