Action has incompetent help, lies to their customers, and try to sell unnecessary equipment and services

Action Cooling and Heating will try to perform services that are not necessary. They tell you that your air conditioner is not running properly and will try to sell you a new or used unit. I believe, but cannot prove, that they take unit from one home and sell it to another home owner. They tried to sell me a rebuilt unit. Just resently, they tried to sell my neighbor a new unit when there was nothing wrong with his.

What I do know for fact is that they have lied to me repeatly. They told me that my duct work under the house was dirty and full of water and would have to be replaced. This was checked by another company and the duct work was found to be in excellent condition. They have told me that the coil was dirty and needed cleaning. I allowed them to do the work at a cost of $665. Only to have them tell me the same thing 8 months later. They reattached the return duct to the AC unit twice. It came off a third time and they wanted to reattach again at a cost of $85.

One time that that worked on the AC unit they duct taped it to the shroud leaving a 2 inch gap. Before there service call, the AC was screwed tightly to the shroud.

Action Cooling and Heating was named Affordable Heating and Cooling a short while ago. Affordable had an "F" rating from the Florida BBB. Action is the exact same company only with a new name.
