Ripoff, contract violations, fraud, no service

I have made many attempts to cancel the vonage contract both by phone and e-mail. I had to cancel my credit card account to stop them contiueing to rip me off. Then reported them to the national and local BBB though that may do little good from what I have read here. I still have their equiptment as they have made no contact or acknowledgement to the issues or how to return the equiptment. There was no way to get their service to work in my area as the cable system has not been updated to use for phone service. The servers will not recognise the signal and as in many of the service complaints, the cable service rep that tried to set it up, the server either drops the signal to the bottom or drops it totally. The vonage service people refuse to hear there is a problem, if they speak english, and if they do get really obnoxious refusing to cancel the service and jerk you around. Wish I'd have known better and about this before I tried it. B
