Ripoff No dates on meat packages

I was at this grocery store week of 3/6/06 and they were running a special on boneless/skinlesss chicken. I wanted to purchase but could not find at sell or pack date on any of them, all other poultry/meat has packed on dates only. The manager informed me sometime ago he does not have to put sell by dates, so he does not.

I asked meat attendent he came back and said that they came prepackaged and the code on the side is when it was packed. This code meant nothing to me and was not even a date code. He said came in the day before.

How was I to know this, so I told him no date, no sale, see ya

Stores should be fined for this the public should step up and demand both sell by and packaged dates for our protection of not getting sick.
