Poor Business Practices (Changing Sell By Dates On Meat)

After what I saw at this grocery store today, I will not be returning. It may not be illegal, but that doesn't make it okay. I was looking at the product in the meat department and noticed that some steaks had more than one label on them. I was able to peel the top label back to reveal the hidden label. The hidden label had a sell by date of August 7th (which is today) and the new label said August 11th. How is a customer to know the freshness of the meat products when the dates are changed? I am all for supporting local small businesses, but this is a deal breaker. This is just another reason mom and pop stores are disappearing.
