Ripoff of Rebate to Office Chai

I purchased an office chair at Office Depot in El Cajon California and they offered a rebate. Well upon doing EVERYTHING required for the rebate, I received an e-mail stating that since I DIDNT send in what they wanted my rebate was denied.
So to make a long story short... I now do not purchase anything that has a rebate (unless they give instant rebates). I feel that Office Depot should not advertise rebates when they are not given!!! Plus nobody wants to answer questions regarding the rebates.
