Horrible customer service! Demeaning and rude.internet

I placed a small order with Hands N Paws almost three weeks ago. I received a confirmation email, and knew that my order had been placed for 15 day delivery, but had not heard anything more. The 15th day would be tomorrow, so I contacted them with to see what the status was, and if I would be provided with a tracking number or shipping confirmation, neither of which the confirmation email provided.

The response I received back was short, "should ship shortly" and a few more words. Nothing definite, so again, I requested more specific information. I received a reply back almost immediately, that was very rude, and didn't have anything to do with what I had asked. I was still in the dark, and decided to ask nicely, one more time. The reponse I received the third time was very derogatory and the customer service person even went so far as to make fun of me. Then pointed me toward the shipping link on the website.

I am not one to get rude with people, so I replied back with a thank you for pointing me in the right direction, and figured we were done for the day. I was, however, mistaken, and received another reply, telling me that they have to shift resources to keep costs down for "less affluent" customers such as myself, because most of their orders are $300-$400.

Excuse me? I think the above treatment is just uncalled for. I do not expect miracles, overnight delivery, or to be catered to every day with updates, but I do expect companies to be kind, courteous, and helpful in their business transactions with me. This happens to be one company I will not do business with again, and I suggest to any one who does, be very, very careful.
