They con you in with low prices, easy access, and superior service. Don't believe anything except the low prices. And then remember you get what you pay for. Ma Bell provided years of impeccable service, but it was getting expensive. So voila, I have cable TV, cable Internet, so why not VOIP (cable phone).

Sign up was easy, (although delayed), service was good in the beginning (6 months ago), and web access is surely a plus. However when you have a problem try to email them! Boiler plate messages come back. Your inquiry is never answered. OK, call them on the phone any phone and all you get is a looping menu and no-one ever answers EVER.
All right you're desperate so you fax them. Fuggedaboutit! They will NEVER reply.

They screw up on a repetitive credit card charge and then blame the customer by shutting off service. They fail to answer on service shutdowns. Their phone service has become very unreliable, quality of transmission is crackling and breaks up, and the ability to contact a live human is actually impossible. Now I'm worried how to stop their service without a phone for 2 weeks. Please, don't give up on Ma Bell. The grass is not greener on the other side. You will be sorry.
