I can't count the amount of epic failures my local toys r us has had. I've had to deal with incompetent employees who want to make me feel like an idiot because they don't know how to do their job. I have had layaway payments to not show up in the system resulting in them asking me to make the payments again. I have had a layaway cancelled and reshelved before with no prior notification. I have had my information not put in correctly to receive said notification. I have filed complaints with home office. I have spoken to the manager directly. Nothing has happened. I refuse to use the layaway here any more. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was just an epic failure or two, but every time I go into this store I'm greeted with rude customer service or incompetent employees. Or both. It makes taking my children to their favorite store a living hell. I literally dread going in there each time. I would love for toys r us to either provide this location with a better staff (starting with the manager) or simply build another location in my area. At least that way I would have a choice.
