Direct Response Technologies
Giftcards.com - NO HUMAN CUSTOMER SERVICE at all and no returned calls or emails, no chance at refunds or exchanges, Horrible experience!

Shops, Products, Services

I recently purchased a Visa gift card from www.giftcards.com. The webiste to me had a very professional appearance and seemed to be like a good place to entrust my patronage for my christmas online shopping. Boy was I wrong. To my dismay when the card arrived it had the wrong name on it. I first tried to contact the website via their email help service and their phone number to try to correct the issue quickly so I could still give the gift to my girlfriend's younger cousin, age 13, in time for Christmas. I received no response after 3 days from either attempt. It was now 6 days before Christmas. Our only hope now would be if they could void it out and send a new one... A return would no longer make it in time for Christmas.

At this point I enlisted the help of my girlfriend and we both tried contacting the company several times over the next week, leaving contact information and the urgent message explaining the situation and pleading that we needed to get this issue resolved before Christmas in the automated voicemail (it actually registered full at one point, so we waited until they emptied it and began calling again). Neither of us received any response and although their website advertises business hours for the phone number, we never actually got to speak to a human being... Not once.

At this point we felt scammed. How can you have a business with no way to contact you? They have the means to take money in from the customer, but cannot seem to grasp the concept of making sure the customer is satisfied with their product afterwards, or even affording the opportunity to try.

To this day we are still trying to contact them and have recieved not one response, not one real person on the phone, not one email response. At this point we are just looking for a refund. We ended up just giving my girlfriend's cousin a 50 dollar bill for Christmas... Not quite as fun as using a credit card when your 13 years old... It seems like this company just doesn't care about the customer once they have your money... Now I have a useless $50 visa gift card that I can't use because it's in the wrong name!

Stay away from this company for your future gift card purchases. Thank god I didn't ask for a Visa gift card for more than fifty bucks...
