Failed to cancel order dishonest return policy poor business practices bad customer service ripoff

After placing an order for Christmas delivery I was unable to reach the company to verify guaranteed Christmas delivery. Because my calls and emails were ignored, I then attempted to cancel the order by following the steps as listed on the company website. The attempt to cancel was also ignored and the package was delivered on Christmas Eve, after I had already purchased a replacement gift.
Because the Gately's order was no longer needed for a Christmas gift, I attempted to contact the company by following the steps to return as listed on their website. My attempts to contact Gately's customer service were ignored until after the 30 day return period had passed. At that point, I finally received a message from the company stating that I did not follow their return policy by contacting the company within 30 days, and my return request was denied.
My attempts to settle the dispute through the Better Business Bureau have failed and I am stuck with an unneeded gift still in the unopened shipping box.
