Thomas Disposal Service in Statesboro, GA - RIP-OFF LIARS AND CHEATS!

My trash company, Thomas Disposal Service has been servicing me for the past year and 2 months without problems for the most part, until recently. First let me start by saying that they can't figure their butts from a hole in the ground, I was taking my trash to the road one day when they pulled up and the guy asked me which house I lived in and I told him which one. He then told me the neighbor's trash disposal had been cancelled because she didn't pay but yet she'd only lived there 3 days and hadn't even received a bill yet. Ok, no big deal. I told him she'd just moved in and he said "oh, ok... Didn't know someone new moved in". Umm hello, notice the change in name with the address?

So, the next week I took my trash out bright and early before I took my son to school. It's picked up on Monday around 1-3 pm so when I left again from my house at 2:45 to pick up my son, I didn't think anything of the trash still being there. When I got home at 6, it was STILL there.

I checked the mail and saw we had ANOTHER bill from Thomas Disposal, this time in my husband's name but the same address? So I called and left a message letting them know that I had paid our bill for that month but was now receiving them in my husband's name and in my name and also that our trash had not been picked up. No response but oh well, our trash wasn't full anyway so I let it go.

Fast forward to this past Monday, trash went out on SUNDAY evening and it was packed to the brim with trash because we had 2 weeks worth piled up in there. My trash and my neighbors was by the road... Hers was picked up and mine was NOT.

I called Thomas Disposal and talked to the owner who actually happens to be a really nice lady, atleast on the phone. She said she was very sorry and that my trash would defintely be picked up on Wednesday's route and once again she was so sorry and it wouldn't happen again so I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

I know people make mistakes and I hate rude people so I try to go out of my way not to be. I was very nice and polite, thanked her and hung up. The trash stayed by the road, only two more days right?

Well, Wednesday rolls around and I REALLY need my trash picked up. I have 2 bags in my house that can not go outside or animals will tear them up so I have to wait for our bin to be emptied. Wednesday night about 5:00 pm I get home, hmm... Trash hasn't been picked up?

I call Thomas Disposal YET AGAIN and speak with the lady. She can't believe my trash wasn't picked up, I was on the list for the day's pick-up and she is so sorry, they're already gone for the evening but Friday my trash will MOST DEFINTELY be picked up. I tell her that I now have 3 bags of trash sitting inside my house and with a 1 year old in diapers it's not very much appreciated and ask her if she is SURE that my trash will DEFINTELY be picked up on Friday?"Yes" she says, it will defintely be picked up on Friday!

So, Friday comes and I call her once at 1:45 just as a "Hey, remember my trash needs to be picked up" she tells me that yes my trash is being picked up today without a doubt. Ok, I thank her and let her go. So, 5:30 pm... Trash still hasn't been picked up yet so I call her back "I don't mean to be a pain but I am just calling to make sure my trash is absolutely going to be picked up today because I have 3 bags sitting outside that will be ripped apart by animals if left out overnight"."Yes ma'am, your trash will defintely be picked up shortly, their route is running until about 7 pm tonight and your name is on it and they'll be there for sure". Ok, I thank her and hang up.

Now, I was nice the whole time through this ordeal when most people would've cussed their heads off and demand they learn some business ethics but no, not me... I kept my cool because I know that sometimes things just happen... 2 weeks in a row, ok that's a lot but still, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. After all, it was Friday and the harm was already done, today it was DEFINTELY being picked up.

It's now Saturday mornining, 3:46 am to be exact. My new puppy had to go to the bathroom so I got up to take him outside, I get out there and hear a rustling which scared me to death. I grab the puppy, come inside and grab a flash light and shine it in the direction of the sound. What is it you ask?

It's the THREE BAGS OF TRASH that I was ASSURED would be picked up last night, being torn up by deer! My trash was NOT picked up for the 4th time in a row, 3 in the same week when I called TWICE today alone to remind them!

Needless to say, I am livid. I am going to call Southern Disposal Service tomorrow and I am now going to be doing business with them. Through real estate I have referred a lot of people to Thomas Disposal, NOT ANYMORE! I will now tell people to stay away at all costs!

Tomorrow morning when I am supposed to be getting up to go Christmas shopping, I am instead going to be on my hands and knees in my yard for hours trying to pick up all the trash that animals have dragged out across my yard!

Do NOT deal with this company. I don't care how polite the lady is, the devil can put on an act too you know. I was assured my trash would be picked up three days in a row, all three days it was nothing but lies. Now I have to pick up the pieces (literally!), not them!

When you pay money for a service, it should live up to your expectations by providing you with what you paid for. This company has not, they have no problems with cashing my check from this month but yet they just can't seem to get my trash picked up which is exactly what that check was given to them for!

Be wise, call Southern Disposal. Another neighbor has them and has for years, she says that she's never had ONE problem with them. I mean who normally DOES have a problem with their trash company? You know it's a bad one when it gets complaints! It's not like their service is so hard to provide!
