Target sold me a defective tv. - Target Refund Practice

I went and stood in line for a Black Friday sale on a tv. When I set it up half the screen didn't work and then the sound went out. I called target and they said that they were aware of the problem and there was a lot of tv's that were defective but they said I needed to go through the manufacture in order to get it replaced because they no longer carry that tv and they didn't carry a comparable tv in that price that I could exchange it for. So I called the manufacture and haven't been able to get a call back for almost a week. So I called back target and told them that I wasn't having any luck with the manufacture so I wanted to come and get a new tv from them and thought that the should eat the difference in cost and after hours on the phone and calling 5 different numbers I still was not given the costumer service that I thought I should. Everyone just told me that there was nothing that they could do. One person offered to call the manufacture on my behalf and with any luck I should recieve a new tv in three weeks. So now I'm not only not being taken care of but now I'm paying for a month of tv that I can't watch.
