Miscellaneous

Went to buy a baby crib for our grandson's visit. We live in the mountains, so there are four Target stores in our general area each around each around 50 miles round trip. At the first store found the crib we wanted, which we had seen on Target's website (as on clearance). We looked at the floor model — a really great crib. Sadly this store didn't actually have that model. Adolescent salesperson looked and the other three stores had the crib. Went to next store: good news was it had the crib; bad news was that it wasn't on clearance or any other sale. Called next store: good news was that crib was on clearance sale; bad news was that the store didn't have the crib. Called 4th store: good news was that this store had the crib; bad news was that it wasn't on clearance sale. Went home and looked again on Target website to order crib on line. Bad news: the crib was available but no longer on clearance sale. This all had a Lewis Carroll feel about it.

Actions taken:

1. Called Target customer service with phone number given to me by Target store manager; they didn't seem to think there was a problem, but suggested I call back tomorrow (honestly!).

2. Went to Baby's Are Us and bought crib.

3. Cut up my Target credit card and mailed it to Target corporate headquarters.

4. Posted this review.
