Fired for paying for a 10.00 doll

On 11-05-04 this family walks in the store and this little girl was starting to cry and so one of the other associates gave this girl a doll and she stopped crying. Well the family was getting ready to leave and the associate was taking the little doll from the girl and she started to cry. I told the associate to take off the tags and i'll pay for it at the end of my shift.

Well around 5:10 i get called into the general managers office to tell me i was fired and i violated #5 in the employee hand book. Now mind you Mr. Marsh on the wed before got smart with me and i got smart back. So it makes you wonder did this have anything to do with it. Well i was asked to sign the term. Paper and when i did it stated i knew these people and i didn't its just anybody in there right mind does not give a little 2 year old a doll and then try to take it from them.

Well i wrote my comments and he didn't like that and so when i asked for a copy he refused to give me a copy and that makes you wonder what are they hidding. Well in california we have a labor code #432 that states he has to give me a copy if i request and so tuesday i go to the store and gave him something in writting that i would like a copy and still no. It all came down to one of the associates who told that i knew these people hates me because i take her customers i'm sorry that i will not lie to people and tell them they look good in something and they don't i feel that is wrong just for a sale. I also got told my sales needed to be at 1200.00 to 2300.00 a day the 2300.00 on weekends. Or my pay would go from 12.00 to 10.80.

This company to me says screw the customers make your money and alot of people don't like to come in because you hawk them. And when you try to tell somebody good morning or something like that the first thing out of these peoples mouth is i'm just looking please not stand or follow me. I've told this to mr marsh and he does not care.
