Returned ski pants for refund and I haven't received it yet. It's been 9 days since they got my package

I ordered a pair of ski pants online to this company on Nov. 24. I received it several days later and they did not fit so I sent it back for a refund on Dec. 3 and I chose delievery confirmation. They received it on Dec. 6 and I still haven't received my refund on my debit card. Todays date is Dec. 15!!! They just emailed me and said my status was changed and my order is now refunded. My checking account says different!!! I called the BBB in California & they have had a lot of complaints on this company.
