Kobalt air compresso

First an internal rubber pressure hose actually rotted off, now the aluminium manifold also inside the compressor has a hairline crack and another leak in the tool.
I am exasperated with Kobalt!!!
I think the manifold part which shipped to me will cost $80 ought to be sent to me FOC considering the quality of the part.
Is Kobalt a joint venture between Dollar General and Lowes ; if so that would explain the quality issues.
