Horrendous Customer Service

I received a letter from Bank of America that they were selling my loan to Green Tree Servicing and that GT would notify me in regards to my account and payments. When my December payment was not automatically withdrawn from my bank account, I called Bank of America. They related to me that GT was now servicing my loan. Since GT had not contacted me, I had to call them. They then related to me that my payment was late and that a late fee would be assessed. I told them that the information I received from BoA said that I had 60 days in which to re-establish automatic withdrawls with no financial penalty. GT agreed and forfeited the fee. Just after the phone exchange with GT, I signed up for the automatic withdrawl to begin in January, sending them my account number and routing number. They refused the information becuase I did not send a voided check. What would happen if I didn't have any checks for that account? I mostly use my debit card to pay bills. When I tried to make the payment over the phone, they wanted to charge me $12.00. This is the worst service I have ever received from a mortgage company - and I have dealt with six or seven companies during my life span. The worst!
