Home Loan modification

I am a homeowner with Chase holding the note. I am a senior citizen and a realtor and mainly exist on my social security. I paid $650 to chase to apply for a home loan, learning much later from them that they do not charge - and finally I was denied because I do not make enough money. I would not have applied for a modification if I was making enough money to pay my mortgage - this seems to me to be a contradiction - if only those who make enough money can have home modifications then the rich will get richer and the poor will go into foreclosure. What is the purpose of the modification if one has to make enough money. Anyhow when I asked for my 650 back I was told that they do not charge and I have to prove that they were paid - fortunately I have a invoice requesting the payment on chase letter head. This is really a scam in hiding - like a wolf in sheeps clothing. This company should be put to rest by the powers that be - they should not be dealing with the public - the focus is how can we make more money without reporting to the sec or irs. I am not done with them - Had I seen all the reviews written by other people I would still have my 650,00 available to me. Please someone look into this scam posing as an honest to goodness service
