Washer installation took four attempts and left a chipped bathtub

Aug. 1: Bought a Maytag washer, new, including delivery and installation. The washer was delivered, but the installation was left unfinished, and two porcelain chips appeared on my bathtub because of the delivery.

Aug. 8: Installation resumed. The technician wanted $150.00 to extend the drain hose by 27", and I refused to pay.

Aug. 15: The third attempt to finish the job. The technician came late with no parts, accomplished nothing, and still billed Maytag/Home Depot $89.00 for the service call.

Aug. 19: On the fourth attempt the installation was at last completed. Nobody repaired the chipped bathtub, though, so the homeowner has to eat the loss.
