Concerning home loan

I have a loan with you folks at Green Tree. I couldn't make the payment on the first due to low funds, but I did get a check off on the 5th of July, it is check number 1476 in the amount of 954.62 do you people not have a grace period? I was not going to write a check that did not have enough funds to clear. You folks should have received check number1476 I am thinking by Wed. Of the week after the 5th. So why am I getting a payment for 1909.24? I will be on time with my next payment of 954.62 but I refuse to pay the late charge thank you. Ted Scharfenberg acct.#895644649
