Complaint

Our complaint with Green Tree is when our mortgage was sold we only received correspondence from Greentree. We had an Adjustable Rate and wanted to refinance to a fixed rate. Green Tree told us that they were a servicing agency and did not do refinancing. They NEVER referred us to the Mortgage CO. That they represented and we never knew they were representing another company. We went elsewhere to refinance to get a fixed rate and when the lenders contacted Green Tree no one could get a "Pay Off" so that we could get refinanced. One company told us they would not deal with Green Tree because they were impossible to deal with! My question is: Legally can they refuse to give the information necessary so their customer could get help? We ended up loosing our home to Green Tree as a result.
