Ace Hardware
Treated rudely and inconderatately when I was short-changed

I was hort-changed $5. Though I saw immediately that I was when I was the cashier hand me the wrong change, I thought I'd tell them later. Since I had to use the bathroom; as I had the toilet shut off all day while trying to get the right flapper to replace the one I had. I called to tell them—thinking it no big deal (we all make mistakes). However, I was accused immediately of being wrong and the cashier "never was wrong". He was rude to me... I then called the manager the next day. Dan Schroeder, the manager was much more rude to me—and for NO reason. I was polite to him. I felt threatened when he told me that her (the cashier's) family works for the police dept. If they were polite and said "I'm sorry but there's no way we can prove this..." I would of let it go. But it was as if they were covering a crime and tried to put the blame on me. Dan Schroeder then told me I was barred from the store! I asked, 'under what premises?!!" They were not only exclusive and cruel to me but it was as though they were covering something. I don't understand. I will assure them that I, nor my friends, family and some of my neighbors will NOT do business with them. I will not do business with Any Ace hardware. I will bring this up in my next board meeting (I live in a condo).
