Accused of trying to pay with counterfeit money

On Tuesday November 23 I went into this Family Dollar location to make a purchase. I made my purchase, got my change and receipt then walked outside to my vehicle and the cashier, Amy said that my $20 bill was fake. I then went back into the store to call my daughter because she gave me the 20 dollar bill the night before. Well once I told my daughter, she called the bank where she went to the atm a couple nights before to withdrawn $220. The bank associates tol her to come to the bank. My daughter came up to the store and immediately knew that the fake20 dollar bill did not come from her and could not even have come through the atm machine because of its condition. My daughter then went into the store to demand her $20 because it was evident that the cashier changed the $20 bill out for the fake one, once I got out to my car. The authenticity of the $20 was not checked while I was making my purchase. My daughter and I then took the $20 to the bank and they knew that bill could not have come out of the atm machine. My daughter had a receipt showing proof of a withdrawal made two evenings before. We then went back to the store and the police had been called. Everything was explained to the police, and I requested camera footage, but the store doesn't have cameras. The police said they couldn't do anything and that I couldn't get my money back. Both my id and my daughters id information was taken and we were told that we may be called by the secret service because of the counterfeit money. This store employee amy, is totally responsible, she switched the bills when I left the store because the counterfeit money was damaged and torn and the bill that I gave her was not. I also called the corporate office to speak with the dstrict manager Brandy, and I never received a call back. Family Dollar is wrong, the police is wrong, and as a customer I have been cheated, let down, and accused of wrong doing. The finger is being pointed.in the wrong direction. I want my money back, and I do not want to be linked to counterfeit money that Amy chose to try to blame on me.
