Poor Service, Spad-ware central

To my personal disgust at first, I thought Yahoo would be a friendly place, A reliable and trustworthy community where there was real customer service, where serious problems were dealt with properly and quietly. Where even children could be safe from todays violence. This isn't the case.

You pick up Yahoo Instant Messenger. A quaint little tool that allows you to contact friends and keep them on a list, it even has its own little utilities and some interactive backgrounds. Pretty cool. Pretty slick.

The problem, however, arrives upon entering any given chatroom. Not only are those chatrooms NEVER monitored, but people have actually made and sold illigal programs that are created for the sole purpose of manipulating existing yahoo commands that normally nobody is able to use. Those programs are called Booters, and a great deal of Booters offered online are actually very deadly viruses so fortunately for us, most would be chatroom terrorists are utterly fragged.

There is no chat filter, people can post links to malicious websites, even porno, or popup spawners. Lest we forget the advertisements that show up in the Yahoo chatroom that cycle through. They carry adware and spyware. (adaware, spybot search & destroy helps)

I brought this to customer services attention months ago, only a heartless automated auto-reply assuring me there will be something done to correct the situation. But nothing is being done.
