West virginia gas company rip off oil and gas companies

January bill was 157.50, I called to complain because every other bill we had before was 36.00. They told us the charge was an estimate, however never bothered to contact me to let me know. They said they would schedule someone to come out and read the meter and no one ever came. I received another bill from 1/29/09 to 2/11/09 (keep in mind we had a major ice storm, no power means no heat with electric fan on the gas heat and we were at a hotel for about 4 days).

The bill just received was 297.16! My total bill is now 454.66. I told the lady when I spoke to her about the fact that no one bothered to let me know they estimated my bill and she just said, "well the reason it was higher is because it snowed". Are you kidding me??? I'm not being billed on consumption, but just on the weather???

Now I'm going to have to figure out how to get this worked out. It doesn't appear like I'm going to get help from the company itself.
