Manufactured Housing Commuity Preservationisis, MHCP unethical, ripoff, dishonest, doesn't know how to operate a non-profit organization

I, too, have had many bad experiences with the Executive Direcor of MHCP and also with the Board of Directors. This organization is a non-profit 501 C (3) and it is being run as if it were a privately held company. The executive director and his domestic partner, who is also the bookkeeper, have absolute control over the organization, with little or no oversight by the board of directors. They do not own a single blade of grass of grain of sand in any of the 4 mobile home parks and yet the ED promotes himself as the owner, even having bills titled "Doug Hobkirk DBA MHCP." He isn't DBA as anything except an ego driven maniac with little regard for the residents or contracts the organization has with King County.

The important thing to remember is that there are contracts with King County, which are being violated. I would really like to talk to others in the four mobile home parks... Together we can make a change in how this organization is being run.

In fact, we need to make changes soon because the organization is on a downward spiral. Expenses are outpacing income and the Board has no strategies for stopping the hemorrhage. This has been a pattern for the last 5 years and we are now 63,000 in the hole.

I would very much like to make contact with anyone else who is having problems with MHCP or Doug Hobkirk.
