On Tuesday, September 18, I stopped by My local home depot (Store #274) to have a spare key made. There was an older gentleman making the keys, (I did not see his name tag). I approached him politely, asked him if he could make me one copy of my key, and handed him the key. He stared at the key, and then stared back at me as if I had two heads. He held the key out to me and said nothing. I stood there for a few minutes, waiting for an explanation, but to no avail. I then proceeded to ask him if he could not make the key. He responded "No.". When I asked why he said "I can't." Again, I stood there a few more minutes waiting for an explanation, but there was none. I walked out, frustrated, and without my spare key. What a waste of time. Home Depot needs to choose their employees more carefully and until they do, they will no longer have my loyalty, nor the loyalty of any of my associates. This is by no means the first issue I have had with employees at Home Depot store #274, and I am sick of it.
