I have documentation for all my claims. On or about this date, Verizon Wireless emptied my bank account, while THEIR OWN RECORDS of my account show that they ALREADY had been paid. The result was a cascade of NSF charges on my account with the bank as well as other creditors. Several times, I attempted a remedy via telephone, and the representative literally told me, "Get bent. It IS our fault, but you should take it up with your bank." I attempted remedy via registered mail at least a dozen times, including letters to the company CEO. None were answered and Verizon took no action to remedy the situation, except to continue to bill me. I refused the pay the last month of my agreement with Verizon during this dispute. Verizon proceeded to 'flush me down the sewer of adverse credit collections'.in sum my feeling was that it would have been easier to just pay them and move on to another carrier (which I did), because now there is NO remedy. I also think that Verizon bargains/does business in bad faith, but now my previously spotless credit is marred because I stood on principle. It is just easier and less expensive for Verizon to jettison a customer into the credit collection system, than to do anything else except cash your checks. This appears to be their standard operating procedure. After documenting my situation, my only other remedy was the small claims courts, which is another expense and good luck finding their registered corporate agent, which is required for proper filing. Otherwise your case will be immediately dismissed...
