Titanium sales, inc ripoff company takes advantage of the elderly

On June 13 a young man rang our doorbell and solicited for magazine sales. He receives contest or trip points for selling magazines subscriptions. We didn't need a subscriptions but he indicated we could donate the magazines to a non-profit charity. My husband, 82 years of age with Alzheimers, agreed to a donation of $238.00 and wrote a check for such. The fine print on the receipt which he received but could read or comprehend indicates that a cancellation can take place only prior to midnight of the thrid business day after the date of the transaction. And to complicate things the cancellation notice must be mailed or delivered along with a signed and dated copy of their cancellation notice or send a telegram.

This company uses unfair solicitation practices and should be banned from doing business in any state and taking advantage of people... Especially the elderly.

Word of warning to everyone... Do not agree to any solicitations that come to your door. They are evil and dishonest. This is not a non-profit organization but a sleazy profit enterprise. Ban these kinds of door-to-door solicitations in Utah and everywhere else in our country.
