Citicards sent me an offer to keep my account open by raising my interest rate or having my account closed. This was sent to me by mail and I threw it out thinking it was a promotion. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and always paid on time and mostly above the minimum due. Went to use my card and it was closed! Called to ask why and they informed me it was because I refused to have my interest raised. I was on a lower interest balance transfer plan that they had offered! Another time they were charging me 85$ per month for finance fees - when I called to inquire why they said you didnt check the box that said you didnt want to pay a higher fee. These guys are crooks
