This is a new and ongoing problem I have with Paypal and their Mother Ship eBay. These two sites appear to be changing their ground rules daily. I have spoken with both divisions extensively, filed a suggestion. (no place for complaints on this subject) and I see that others are having the same problem. Ebay will not allow you to accept payment other than through Paypal. Now, if you receive payment through Paypal and you cannot meet specific guidelines on eBay and my situation is even more specific as I have physical limitations that prohibit my complying with their guidelines, Paypal receives a computer notification to hold your funds for 21 days. That means if I purchase something on eBay, I do not have the funds to pay for it from my Paypal account and must cough up the funds directly from my Bank account. I believe this is an arbitrary and possibly illegal action from my viewpoint, by eBay and Paypal. It is like your bank deciding that you did not fill out your deposit slip clearly, did not park your car appropriately, got too close to the ATM, etc., and deciding to punish you by holding your money for 21 days until you corrected your bad behavior. I do not have a bad record with eBay. (I have had some fraudulent complaints recently) But I have been a good seller and buyer since 1998 or earlier. The grade you receive on your Seller's report and your failure to meet eBay's specific policy on those four items, is what they base their decision on and even Paypal admits it can be a subjective opinion by a buyer. I am going to contact an attorney to see if I have an action. HELP! I just picked a date. I can't remember the exact date. The amount varied according to the amount you have sold during the period for which you are being punished.
