I purchased a flat screen television from sears 3 years ago and took the recommended warranty out on it. Recently the tv will not function due to internal screen cracking. Please note: there is no external damage (not caused by a person)!! I call Sears and wait 10 days until someone can come out and look at it. They tell me, "we cannot help you, it is screen damage, we do not have a screen to replace this, and your warranty does not cover this" Really?!? So what did I pay for? A piece of paper that does nothing but leave me sit with a broken television! I could understand if it was damaged externally (by force or whatnot), but it's not - how can you blame a person for the inside of the screen breaking? I called the complaint line and was told they could give me $9 back prorated on the warranty or extend the warranty. What a crock! I will never buy another appliance from Sears again! And fyi: forget about your over priced sears charge being paid off!
