On December 12 I bought a Pavillion dm3 laptop. About a month later the left side of the LCD screen became unresponsive and showed some random patterns. I was told twice by HP that this was not covered under warranty, because it had to be caused by external forces on the screen. I am not aware of any dropping, pinching, bumping or other damage and there is no sign of physical damage anywhere on the computer.
I believe that the refusal to cover this under warranty is unacceptable.
