Miscellaneous

Saveology.com is a gigantic ripoff scheme. How do I know? I worked there as recently as yesterday.

Let's start with their tech support service they push on people, their customer in most cases having no idea this was added on or is a monthly charge. Their sales agents, some in India in a division called Spanco and some in the US in Utah and Margate Florida, give you the impression that you are speaking to Cox or Charter or Comcast or Verizon or other big name brands and sell you their services.

However, you are actually speaking to Saveology Home Services, not these big well known companies. They also tack on their tech support service called mytechhelp or for their older customers before january called supportsquad. This service has a recurring charge of 9.99 per month. Most customers I spoke to had no idea of what this charge was for and those who did know said they were told it was necessary to get the service with the big name brands.

The sad part is that this same service is sold to come customers for 9.99 per month, others for $59/mth for 30 days and then recurring at 9.99, still others its sold to for $159.99 for one year. It's the exact same service. Anytime anyone sells these plans, the managers and supervisors go crazy and ring bells and beak chairs and shout and scream so loud the customers you have on the phone can hear them.

Once a customer buys one of the annual plans, the company outright refuses to give them back a full refund if even the tiniest bit of tech support service was performed.in many cases I have seen many Apple customers call, mistakenly thinking they have called Applecare and are sold these tech support plans, the tech is unable to fix it and refers the customer to Applecare and refuses to refund the money 100%, even though the tech misrepresented himself as an Apple technician.

Saveology also sells modems and routers and range extenders and surge protectors. They sell these to customers and tell them they can get a full rebate for the full amount paid. The catch? The customer has to mail in the rebate form and other information and it takes 10 to 16 weeks for the customer to receive the funds.in reality, it takes much longer.

Many customers live in non-serviceable areas for these big companies and are not even able to use this equipment which they do not discover till after they have paid for the equipment and had it shipped to them. Then the customer has to send the equipment back and in some cases they are not reimbursed the shipping costs. Nearly all customers mistakenly believe they are speaking directly to the provider and not a 3rd party.

Their corporate office is based in Margate, FL. When you get hired you think you are working for this cutting edge company really growing fast.in reality, they are growing by misrepresenting themselves to their callers and salmming them with services they don't need and in many cases cannot even use. They then try to hold onto to people's money until the very last minute before refunding it, if they refund it.

The company is also not even fair in its employment practices. If you work on the corporate side, you have a gym, a basketball court, spacious offices. Free jellybeans, exotic animals in cages.in the call center side, its cramped and noisy and smelly and dirty. Even the benefits are different. The corporate side has a different set of health benefits then the call center side. Need I say whose benefits are richer?

Stay as far away from saveology as you can.
