Redline Executives, San Diego
False Interview and false Position information

Miscellaneous

The biggest rip off interview I have ever encountered. I received a phone call from the "Human Resources Department" at Redline Executives. They contacted me to see if I was interested in an Administrative Customer Service position. The woman sounded sincere. She said I have a one on one interview with a Jason. I asked if it was a sales/marketing position and she said no, it's a customer service position within the office. So I set up my interview for the next day at 3:00pm. She told me to dress Business Professional. So, I show up at 2:45 in a suit and tie. As soon as I enter the door there were 6 chairs in a small room (kitchen size) to sit at. I went in the door and said I have a 3:00 interview with Jason, which was also a lie. There was no Jason there. She gives me a questionnaire and says to fill it out and return to her. I did. All chairs were taken, so I stand outside the building and immediately got suspicious that this "HR" lady tricked me and I was actually being interviewed for a sales position. I finally get called in a room that had no carpet, tile, or any covering on the bare cement. And I am dressed in a Business Suit!!! The woman who was interviewing me started asking me questions that were already on my resume and on the questionnaire that I had filled out when I arrived. At no time did she say what type of position this was that she was interviewing me for. So, I stopped her and asked "what is this position that I am interviewing for?" I asked if it was a sales/marketing position and she replied "yes". I immediately stood up and asked for my resume back and told her that I am not interested in sales/marketing, just like I told the HR lady. Which was another lie, she was no HR lady, she was the receptionist at the front door who was playing on her computer listening to loud hip hop music, which was totally unprofessional. It was a total waste of time. There are no administrative positions in this sales company, and there was no one on one interview with Jason (the owner). They tricked me which really p'd me off.
