I purchased several expensive LED light bulbs ($26 each). The store employee said that my local utility had a rebate program on the bulbs, which they did not. When I called the number given by the store employee, a person saying they were with Assist123 said that they would send me a $100 cash rebate if I paid $3.95. I declined the offer. I believe the store employee knew nothing of the Assist123 scam, but they were still misrepresenting the local utility to push the store's inventory.
