Store sells fluorescent bulbs only in packs of two

I want to buy one fluorescent bulb to replace the one that burned out in my light fixture. I went to your store, Home Depot, in Englewood, Colorado to make this simple purchase. To replace the bulb in my light fixture that has only one bulb, I have to buy two bulbs. Home Depot will not sell me just one bulb to solve my problem.

On the surface this may sound petty. However, over the years I have bought many items that were packaged two to a package and threw the other away. I still have one flashlight bulb that I bought back in the year 2000. The bulbs were sold only two to a package. I have used one, and the other has been stored over my sun visor for 10 years just in case that one ever burns out.

I did not buy your package of two fluorescent bulbs. I only need one and do not want to store the other one for 10 years in the hope of needing it someday. I will shop with someone who will sell me what I need. I know that Home Depot is a large corporation and may not care what I think.

A business is built or lost one customer at a time. Ask Montgomery Ward how that is working out.
