I have been a victim of ID theft and for security reasons I bought 3 greendot money cards and loaded them with a total of 900.00. Two cards were purchased and loaded to pay bills and one so I could safely (I thought) give money to my son who was away @ college for his birthday. I went home after buying them and when I went to register the cards, no more than 15 minutes after buying them; when I got to the last step: entering the 3 digit security code the program kept kicking me out of the registration page. This occurred for all 3 cards. I called customer service and was told that all 3 cards had been registered to someone else; the C.S. Person was rude at best. I was transferred to the fraud dept and sat on hold for 2 hours no exaggeration at which time I spoke very briefly to a man who was even more rude than the first and put on hold again for 2 hours AGAIN. Eventually I was transfrred to an automated survey and never again talked to a live person. Supposedly these cards are managed by GE capital Iam still in shock need my money back and dont know what 2 do. Filed a police report. Next am i received a phone call from an area code 813 someone calling himself Jason and told i could get a 4K loan from GE money bank. First had to buy a green do card and load itw / 465.00 clearly no coincidence. Any suggestions??
