Finance Charge increase

I have written this company more than once. I am a very good customer of theirs and have paid my bill early monthly, and cannot believe how they treat their customers. Three months ago my finance charge for the month was about $1.76. Since then of course my bill has gone down however for the last two months they have been charging me well over $9.00 finance charge per month. So I have paid nearly $20.00 in two months for a finance charge. This is outrageous and I can't get a response from them. I have heard they are being investigated but that doesn't mean customers don't count.
